Atlanta's Next Top Model, Cycle 7

Atlanta's Next Top Model Cycle 7: High Fashion is the seventh season of Atlanta's Next Top Model. It continues to air on VTV. The series premiered on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

The permanent judging panel has changed again with Kora Preobrazhensky, Taylor Vanderburgliesse, and Reiden "Rul" Lassen all leaving. Eva Kourkouva is the only judge who reprises her position, but is not the host. The new host is Takuya Yanasagi (ex-supermodel in Japan, executive producer and filmmaker, and host of her own talk show in Japan). We welcome Annete Quinterro to the judging panel (the new editor-in-chief of Vogue Atlanta, which the winner will receive the cover and spread in) and George Cortina (prominent and highly acclaimed fashion editor and stylist) as well.

The winner will receive: a 1-year contract with IMG Model Management; a cover and 8-page spread within Vogue Atlanta, a cover of Vogue Nippon shot by Terry Richardson; $50 000; and the exclusive chance to appear in the Chanel F/W (Haute Couture) 2011/12 show. The runner-up will receive $25 000.

Contestants eligible in the contest must be at least 5'8" in height. The age limit is now 16 to 25. Contestants should not have appeared in any major national or international campaigns and/or ads in the last 3 years. There are no weight restrictions this cycle. 16 finalists will compete, once again.

This cycle's overseas international fashion destination is Tokyo, Japan.

The promotional tag line/motto for this cycle is simply "High Fashion".

The final 2 contestants will once again make it to a live finale where the audience and general public may vote for the winner (it will once again be a 50% audience vote and 10% per judge vote). The girls will walk in Atlantan Fashion Week 2011 where their walks will be critiqued during the live finale.

In the end, ___________ was crowned the seventh Atlanta's Next Top Model on ________, _______, __, 2011.

Weekly Synopses

CASTING,

  • 35 model hopeful women vie to compete for the title of Atlanta's Next Top Model in its most high fashion cycle yet. The prizes are amazing. The potential is amazing. The drama is even better.

The series begins with superimposed images of high fashion magazine covers like Vogue, Fashion, Allure, Flare, Numero, Elle, V, and Harper's Bazaar Magazine. Takuya Yanasagi introduces herself via a narrator voice-over while videos of top fashion supermodels around the world (Coco Rocha, Eniko Mihalik, Frida Gustavsson, Jourdan Dunn, Freja Beha, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn and Joan Smalls) all work the runway. She then begins to show audition tapes with bad model hopefuls walking horribly, with a sudden music change, and asks "But which one of these girls has what it takes to be the NEXT top model?" The screen fades to black and the title "Atlanta's Next Top Model, Cycle 7: High Fashion" comes onto the screen. A group of girls stand outside a make-belief model management office, HF Models in a studio/warehouse downtown Rein. The group of girls enter and see that there is nothing in the big empty warehouse. They murmur amongst each other. Illena complains jokingly that she didn't fly all the way here and leave her rich life to compete on some bogus reality show. Twins Tara & Sara start to make a knock-knock joke loudly to ease up the tension. The girls find them entertaining. All of a sudden, the lights turn off, and when they come back on, the girls hear footsteps. Eva Kourkouva stomps out into the empty room with 3 other people stomping behind her. She introduces herself once again to those who don't know her and says "You can all relax now!" with good intentions. She introduces Takuya Yanasagi to the girls and tells them that she will be the new host and permanent judge. Joining the two include George Cortina, huge fashion name, having many girls squealing in the pack, much to the judges' content. And also, last but not least, is also Annete Quinterro, editor-in-chief of Vogue Atlanta, in which the winner will receive a spread within and also the cover. Takuya explains the prizes that the winner will receive (and also runner-up), leading to the girls' drives and emotions skyrocketing. The girls are all very excited to get to know each other and to work already. Leah Marie and Nica already have sore feet. Anya has one of the most high fashion faces in the pack but lacks confidence. The girls get together in the next room to take model polaroids. Some of the girls have natural talent, others don't. Coring is back with a vengeance and wishes to be a part of this special cycle. Qahira talks bad about the contestants while they do their shoot and the word quickly passes on that she is annoying and two-faced. Sai approaches her when she hears that Qahira called her "boring and fat". Lorelei is a spoiled girl and buds heads with Illena. Stephane and Eris share a moment together as they pray for good measures. Jainen is very educated and is a gifted student. Being 16 and already doing her first year of undergraduate studies, she wishes to concentrate on the tasks at hand and not let any of the drama distract her. Evgenia has very big personality. At dinner, the girls share their backgrounds with each other. It is revealed that Mihalek is Roscja's baby stepsister. Mihalek was nicknamed after Eniko Mihalik and wishes to be a part of the house with her stepsister. A few girls pick up on and make fun of Li's accent. Li proves to be a strong girl and does not seem to be too affected by the girls poking fun at her, yet. Ann, Rojm, Ana and Grenly befriend one another as they are all among the tallest in the pack (6'0"+). The photos have been printed. Takuya invites all the girls back to the empty warehouse where there are 24 mannequins. Behind each mannequin is one polaroid shot. The girls must locate their polaroids on the back of the mannequins. If they cannot find their photo, they are to immediately leave the studio warehouse with their belongings. Later that night, Sabrina throws a fit in her hotel room and leaves the competition. The judges reveal later that they had their eyes set on Sabrina making it very far, if she didn't quit. Tahlie tries to ease up the anxiety and tension by rounding up all the girls to one room where they can all have a few drinks that night. Many of the girls are still underrage and Tahlie is worried that she may be eliminated because of her idea. She insists that those under 18 should drink soda instead. Lorelei doesn't listen and drinks some vodka. Veronique grabs the drink out of her hand and tells her she should listen to her elders. Lorelei and Veronique fight. The girls all return to their rooms. The next day, they are all brought back to the warehouse where they see tables and tables and props, hair, and make-up. They then know that it'll be a self-styled photo shoot. The catch is - they do not know what they are modeling for - as the clothes are in the next room. They must style themselves and dress themselves after for an impromptu avant-garde self-styled photo shoot, which will determine who will make it into the Top 16 (the House finalists). Many of the girls go for an over-the-top mix-and-match look once they hear "avant-garde". Li and Jainen go for a natural, soft look, that is versatile and easy to work with. Eris has no idea how to do her hair. Tara & Sara do each others' looks for good measure. Blysse is overtly sexual with her styling. Finally, the girls all see racks and racks and racks of clothes in the next room and everybody is in disbelief. They are all bikinis. The girls start stripping and run through the room naked searching and searching for the perfect bikini that will match their styling. The girls line up to have their photos taken. The girls who are not in line yet believe they have more time to look for the perfect bikini. Takuya comes out to tell them that the last 2 girls will not be able to do the photo shoot and will be automatically eliminated. Quickly, the girls start forming a line. Tara & Sara are the last two as they wait for each other to get in line but instead happen to be the last 2. They go home. Quickly, the judges see who has model potential and who doesn't. Rojm picks up a broomstick as a prop and rips her bikini into shreds having a disheveled and "homeless" look. Li looks like a swimsuit model. Sai looks like she's taking a dump but her styling is good. Blysse looks like a naughty nurse, which is not the type of thing the judges are looking for. The next day, the girls all check-out of the hotel and are invited into the grand ballroom, wearing elegant dresses by Alexandre Vauthier and styling done by xreativsolutions (Creative Solutions). 21 girls stand before the four judges. Each judge reads 4 names. The models in their bracket represent each corresponding judges' personal favourites. Eva begins with Evgenia, followed by Ann. Then Lorelei was called, much to the girls' disbelief. Deidra was last. Annete calls Mihalek first, followed by Roscja. Then Coring is called, followed by Eris. George calls Tahlie first. Then Li. Followed by Sai. Last, but not least is Qahira. Takuya calls Stephane first. Then Grenly. Rojm is called penultimately. The girls all shake in fear and tears ensue as Takuya breathes to say the last name. Jainen.

WEEK 1,

  • The judges dig deep under the new cast of models' skins to see who can handle the pressure and who cannot. The girls drown in each others' potential in the competition. Tyra Banks guest judges.

The 16 models are taken into taxis that take them to a small-sized apartment complex in downtown Rein. The girls receive a Takuya Mail that tell them that the life of a model is not always glamorous and lavish. They will be taking taxis throughout the entire competition and have to live in such a model house for the majority of the competition. Mihalek explains that she was never accustomed to any form of luxury anyway as she was raised by abusive parents and was adopted by Roscja's much more high-class family only recently. She was given the nickname Mihalek because it was always her dream to model and Eniko Mihalik was her favourite model. She spelt it with an "e" near the end so that "designers wouldn't be confused with Eniko and [her] during fashion shows". Her birth name is Jac. When the models get into the house, they realized there are only 7 bunks beds. 2 models would be left without a bed. Nobody wants to give up their bed, but eventually, Grenly gives hers up as she doesn't like conflict. Lorelei comes up with the idea that her and Li can alternate sharing a bed throughout the week. Li had no say in this and she was just like "okay fine". Stephane sees Li as an easy target for bullying and she is aware of this. Jainen calls her family up and tells them what a roller coaster it has already been and she's unsure as to whether or not she's in the right competition. The girls are taken to a casting for Marni the next day. The models must impress with their natural potential, runway ability, and personality. Roscja is a show-stopper with her amazing runway walk. Stephane is amazing as well, except she's the shortest out of all the girls. Tahlie impresses with her potential and personality. Unfortunately, her runway walk is a complete mess. After the casting, the Marni representatives choose a couple of girls to be in the show. Roscja, Stephane, and Jainen are chosen, to Jainen's surprise. The girls believe they are returning home only to realize they're showing up at a dance studio to practise their runway walks. Miss J. Alexander is there to show the girls how to walk the walk. Tahlie improves a lot. Coring walks like she's on ecstacy and Grenly walks like a zombie. The girls are now exhausted as they reach base and go to sleep. Li confronts Lorelei about the bed situation and Lorelei explains that she feels sick and has a really bad stomach ache so Li should let her sleep in the bed for one more night. Li passively gives her her sympathy and walks away to sleep with Grenly right outside the kitchen. The very next morning, the girls are whisked away to a photo shoot. They meet new creative director Denzl, who introduces them to their new amazing head MUA and wardrobe stylist - Cloe Legault and Alisa Krost, respectively. Denzl tells the girls that they will be wearing Preen. The girls are extremely excited - until they go outside and see the set. It's a grimy pool that's decked out...down...to look like a swamp. The girls are horrified at the grotesque set they will need to work with. Denzl brings out the first model, Rojm, and tells her that she will need to bring out real emotion and be as if she is a DROWN VICTIM for this Preen test editorial. Their photographer today is Tyra Banks. Rojm is a tad confused at first and looks constipated being engulfed by all the creative but Denzl loosens her up by asking her why she wants to win. Rojm explains her family situation and says that her single-mother is in rehab and Rojm really needs to do something for herself because she almost followed her mother's path. Roscja goes up next and she is compared to Rojm for being too stiff and looking confused. She has immense potential but she needs to learn how to work it. Mihalek shines by really evoking true emotion while going over and over her past childhood. Sai fails to impress and she just looks extremely tired and one-look during her whole photo shoot. The girls return home and take turns taking showers, which took about a little more than 3 hours before everybody was done. The final 16 face judging and elimination for the first time and are introduced to the new judges. Tyra Banks guest judges.
Lorelei> Takuya congratulates her for being one of the most assertive contestants the competition has ever seen. Annete lets her know that her photo is really flat and will never make it into any big fashion magazines, but she likes her heels. George tells her that her face captures the light quite well but the photo just did not work for him today. Eva says that she actually likes the photo. Tyra says she has such a beautiful and young, fresh face that George would really like to capture, to his accordance.
Qahira> Takuya acknowledges that she has such a dynamic face to work with and she's "borderline racially ambiguous." Eva loves her look and says she will go far. Annete gives her some heads up with her angles but really likes the creativity she used for her photo. George does not like her expression in the photo and says she looks "dumb". Tyra agrees with Takuya.
Roscja> Takuya really likes her potential but hated her film because it just seemed so lacklustre and uninspiring. All the other judges liked her photo but agreed about her film being horrid.
Rojm> Eva likes her potential. Takuya wishes she would have more intensity in her eyes. George and Annete believe she has a lot of potential but really wants to see a makeover for her. Tyra wishes she could do the makeovers for the girls because they all have amazing potential.
Mihalek> Annete is really excited with this girl and says she has immense potential and reminds her of a younger Marisa Miller. George Cortina likes her as well. She is very sexy but can be very classy and high fashion. Takuya, Eva, and all the judges praise her for her amazing courage and portrayal of emotions. Tyra loves this girl the most.
Eris> The judges all say she is too sexy in the photo. George likes it. Annete tells her she needs a more high fashion makeover.
Evgenia> All the judges are astounded by her photo and give her a standing ovation. It is the first time in AtNTM that a standing ovation for a girl's photo occurred. Eva is absolutely astounded and tells her she is her new favourite.
Tahlie> The judges laugh at the large number of blondes this cycle. Annete loves her face structure and her immense potential. George and Takuya see a huge resemblance to Coco Rocha, one of their favourite models of all time. Tahlie and Eva share similar views on styling and they click right away.
Jainen> Takuya tells her that she is a little green but has immense potential. She really likes her photo. The other judges really see the passion in the eyes but want to see more in person from her. Eva says she is one of those who are "great" but not "the best". Annete adds "the underdog" and she sees potential in her.
Sai> delivers a lacklustre photo and looks really stern in person. Takuya tells her she needs to loosen up. Annete does not see much potential in her but says she can do swimwear or be really good in South Africa.
Deidra> is forgettable to the judges. However, George loves her bone structure. Tyra likes this girl but says she poses a little too harsh, which will make her look older.
Ann> shares similarities with Grenly but has an amazing photo. Takuya says she has enough potential to become one of the frontrunners. Tyra compares her awkwardness to ANTM Cycle 15 winner Ann Ward; she will need to own her awkwardness and use it to her advantage.
Grenly> Takuya loves her laid-back attitude but really wants to see more passion and energy from her. She likes her look but tells her she photographs old. The other judges agree.
Coring> Eva congratulates her for making it into Cycle 7, when she tried out for Cycle 6. Her first photo turned out to be a bomb and this really disappointed her. George sees no potential in her whatsoever and that she should just quit trying. Annete tells him that that was "unnecessary and rude" and begins a slight quarrel at the judging table. Annete tells her that her athletic body might work well in other realms of modeling, but unfortunately for this cycle, she is a bit of a no-no.
Stephane> Takuya loves her feisty attitude and mature face even at 16. Eva is very pleased with the potential with this girl. George says she bears slight resemblance to Coco Rocha as well. Annete loves her skin and her photograph is very "enjoyable to look at", which makes the judges laugh but concord. Tyra loves this girl's flawless skin.
Li> Last but not least, Li is seen as an average model. George and Annete tell her that being Asian means being even more assertive and tough skinned in the Western modeling world. Takuya definitely sees potential in her "Asian soul sister" and believes she will go very far. Eva does not like her photo and says it's "missing a little something that [she] will find soon enough".
TAKUYA: "4 girls stand in front of me - Deidra, Sai, Coring, and Grenly. Could you all please step forward? Unfortunately, only 1 of you in the group will be staying for another week. The other 3, must go home, pack your bags, and exit the competition immediately. Deidra - bone structure to die for. Amazing potential. But you're just relying on your beauty. Sai - we love your effortless attitude and beautiful face. But is it enough? Coring - you're feisty and you're driven. But the judges don't believe in your potential. Grenly - you're very unique - but show us what we're looking for. I'm afraid...the girl...whose staying with us tonight...is going to have to work even harder...But we believe you can do it - Deidra. Congratulations, you're still in the running towards becoming Atlanta's Next Top Model."
ELIMINEES: Grenly: "That sucked. I mean I enjoyed the ride, but everything happens for a reason. I'm going to miss Ann, I think they really compared me to her, and for that, I'd like her to win." / Coring: "Well that sucked didn't it? I made it all the way to the final 16 of Cycle 7, with their amazing new prizes and challenges and I just really, really screwed myself up." / Sai: "If I could have another chance, I would do things differently. I'm not gonna dwell on my mistakes - I'm gonna learn from them, become a stronger person, and move on."

WEEK 2,

  • Down to 13 models this week, the girls tackle new challenges and designers as its all about posing, with denim, this week.

Li and Lorelei fight over who should get the bed tonight but Li tries to stand her guard when Lorelei fakes her stomach ache again. Li complains to Stebane and Jainen, the other two girls in the room currently. Jainen and Stebane decide that it's their thing they should sort out. Jainen says that she will let Li sleep in her bed for one night. The next morning, early morning, Li's curling iron is broken and she attacks Lorelei verbally for the mishap because it is Lorelei that uses everybody's stuff. The quarrel makes everybody awake and uncomfortable. Lorelei starts to yell and scream back and call Li "crazy". Stebane apologizes to Li and tells her that she used her curling iron last because her's was also broken and "shit happens". A lot of people now think Li is a crazy girl from a foreign place with no intellect on how "culture and even humanity is handled in this society". At the challenge, the girls are found on the streets of downtown Rein where they must pose in trios (4 groups [3 groups of 3, 1 group of 4]). Stebane, Li, and and Eris are paired together. Stebane and Eris make gossip and rumours about Li which quickly spreads to the rest of the girls. Li is furious and decides to work extra hard in the challenge. Eventually, she breaks down and cries after the challenge and Evgenia finds her in the back, trying to comfort her. Li brushes her away and runs off elsewhere. Evgenia continues to tell the rest of the girls this, which fuels more unwanted attention and bad reputation towards Li. Tahlie, Jainen, and Mihalek are paired together and they deliver fierce poses based on words, scenarios, or phrases given to them. Their best poses were based on "John Galliano F/W2011" and "stomp out the competition". Deidra, Lorelei, and Roscja were paired up. Qahira, Evgenia, Ann and Rojm were paired together. Back at the house, the girls receive a Takuya Mail in the form of a DVD which they got to watch themselves pose in. There are comments with the subtitles and some of the girls receive very harsh critiques. The winner of the challenge is Jainen. She was the best poser. She calls her family to call about her success so far but is still questioning whether or not she should stay in the competition. She talks with Tahlie and Stephane, her closest friends and ask whether or not she should quit. They both tell her straight away that if she doesn't want to be there, she should not cripple other people's chances of winning. Eris pulls a prank on Li and Li calls her family. She is crying and feels bullied by the other girls. Her family tells her that she is 22, and that she really needs to stand up for herself and that her family is going to love her either way. She thanks them and just goes to sleep. The girls go for sushi buffet when they suddenly receive Takuya Mail. They are to go to a club that night to shoot their next photo shoot. When the girls arrive, they think they are going clubbing, but instead, they are actually doing an ad for Armani Jeans. Photographer Dan Mortensen is there (who has shot Agyness Deyn recently) accompanied by renowned stylist Ludivine Poiblanc. The girls are extremely excited. The best photo will be sent to Armani as a proposal for usage in their next campaign. At the photo shoot, Roscja and Lorelei study Evgenia and Mihalek's movements, and excel in their own. Jainen
Tahlie> Takuya tells her she needs to relax her mouth a bit but that it is absolutely breathtaking. Eva loves her effortless appeal and believes she will go far. George says she's a front runner for him. Annete wouldn't mind having her in Vogue. Ludivine really believes her face will be perfect for makeup. Dan said that she photographs like a dream and that the camera loves her bone structure.
Qahira> is very lax in her expression. Takuya does not like her long face. Eva says she is forgettable. Annete and George want to see more personality from her. Ludivine believes her look is very modern.
Evgenia> is absolutely stunning again in her film and photo. Eva says she is the contestant to beat. Annete does not believe she can rival the top models today but she is definitely ahead of the pack. George loves her bone structure and ability to capture your attention immediately. Ludivine and Dan both love her.
Mihalek> George and Annete say that she is a bit average this week. Eva and Takuya both agree that her photo is "good" and "safe" but would never make it as an ad. Dan loved photographing her.
Roscja> Takuya and Eva took note that Roscja has improved a lot from the previous week to now and she seems like she can do high fashion and commercial modeling as well. George says that it seems as if her and her stepsister have changed positions from last week to this week. Dan loved photographing her.
Lorelei> All of the judges find it to be too slutty. Eva likes it. Dan loved photographing her.
Rojm> Takuya takes note of her improvement. Eva says it's safe and boring. George and Annete both like it but it doesn't have the wow factor that Evgenia's does.
Ann> Eva believes the photo to be very awkward. Takuya isn't sure whether or not she can be commercial. George likes her bone structure. Annete likes her hair. Dan would love to shoot an editorial for her though, individually.
Stebane> George loves this girl and believes she can be a top model already. The other judges disagree. Takuya finds her photo flat. Dan loved photographing her.
Deidra> Takuya sees a bit more effort this week than last, but it is still not the best she can do. Her expression is the same. Eva wonders if that's all that's in her repetoire. George notes that if you take all the creative away, you're left with nothing but a blank canvas. Annete goes to say "isn't that what all designers want nowadays? A blank canvas?"
Eris> Takuya believes she has potential but may take a while to get there. Annete and George find her extremely boring. Ludivine loved her face for makeup and beauty.
Jainen> Takuya wonders if Jainen really wants to be here. The other judges pick up the fact that she's smart and she will use her intelligence to her advantage. George thinks she's beautiful but "she doesn't know it".
Li> Takuya sees sadness in her eyes. The other judges think it is fierce - one of the best photos of the bunch this week. There's a story there. "A real deepness." Dan loved photographing her.
TAKUYA: "Will Qahira and Ann please step forward? Now, both of you probably aren't really sure why you're standing in front of me right now. The photos were not so good, collectively, this week. Neither of you had a good photo. Qahira, you've failed to impress us. We don't see any spark in you, and you're beginning to lose your personality, which is affecting your photos, which is beginning to bore us. Ann. You're stunning, but we believe you may only be good for high fashion modeling. We are looking for someone who excels in that, but this week, we feel as though you did not even try, and you are not taking this competition as serious as you should. We want somebody who will embrace everything designers and stylists throw at you, even if it is more commercial or sexy for your liking. You need to break your comfort zone. I'm afraid I'll only call one name. Ann, congratulations."
ELIMINEE: QAHIRA: "I...was NOT expecting that. At all. I expected to go way further. I feel a certain sense of racism in the air. What is this? A joke? Eris or Lorelei should've went home for their attitudes. Deidra for HER lack of effort."

WEEK 3,

  • The girls stumble into Ken Paves' new salon and receive their makeovers. More tears and drama erupt. It's all about the torso this week.

The girls are back home and complain about Qahira's elimination. Li sparks controversy when she talks with Tahlie and Jainen in private about Lorelei and Eris. Tahlie believes she shouldn't be caught up in a situation that's not her's and walks away. Jainen tries to help Li and confronts Eris. Eris believes that she has nothing to do with the situation either but then spreads the word that Jainen and Li are teaming up to make the better and more beautiful models fall in the competition, possibly "due to jealousy". Lorelei is furious and very competitive. Deidra confronts Li and says that if she has something to say she should say it to Lorelei's face. The next day, the girls, all grumpy and tired from a long night, have wandered into the new Ken Paves salon. This cycle, makeovers were only administered to a few contestants. The judges and Ken Paves hair stylists believed that the other contestants who hadn't received makeovers already had good enough hairstyles to propel their modeling careers. Ann is indifferent to the change. Deidra is devastated by the change and loathes it. She cries and cries, annoying many of the other girls. Li fuels the situation by stating that she can now kick her ass now that her confidence was low. She tells this to Lorelei's face and an argument erupts right in the salon. It is very unprofessional and the two get called out for it. Jainen's hair is very short, and she feels as though she has been stripped away of her ever last ounce of femininity. She calls her family to complain about all the stress she is facing and really wants to quit. While this is happening, Lorelei, Deidra, & Eris attack Li verbally. Stephane steps in to defend Li but the other 3 believe that Stephane is on Li's side. Stephane responds furiously that she is on nobody's side and that Lorelei needs to stop acting like a "16-year old prissy bitch and get over it". Everybody goes into their rooms and that day the house is awfully quiet. At the challenge, the girls are brought to NARS Cosmetics. They are introduced to their director and photographer. They are to shoot a new short 10-second intro to the website. They will then have their photos taken to be considered to be the new face of NARS Cosmetics' international website. Li is frustrated with all the drama in the house. Lorelei is as well. The girls go to dinner that night with Annete Quinterro, whose magazine they will grace the cover of and receive a spread within of. Annete tells them the pressures of modeling and how girls will stab backs constantly and try to get in the way of your success constantly. After dinner, Stephane apologizes to Li and tells her that she tried to help her as much as possible but believed she made the situation worse. Li gave her every ounce of respect she had and literally told her her life story and her hardships. Stephane listened to the whole thing and the two became friends. Li calls home for support. At the photo shoot next morning, the girls learn that they will be equiped with real antlers on their heads with their new hairstyles and take a beauty shot. The girls are frightened to learn that they will not be allowed any make up in this shot. The only styling is the moose antler with the subtle Paul Mitchell hair styling. At first, most of the girls complained about the weight of the antlers. Li got through the pressure and really delivered while Lorelei, Eris, and Deidra stared her down while she was shooting. The girls returned home only to realize that Li had won the NARS Cosmetics challenge. She blatantly comments "well at least I'm still kicking ass in the competition" and Lorelei mocks her intentionally.
Tahlie> Eva loved her bone structure again. George believed she photographed effortlessly. Annete believed "she could be the next star". Paul Venoit loved putting make up on her.
Jainen> confessed indications that she was questioning her place in the competition. The judges all told her to carefully think it through while they deliberated because her photo this week was pretty amazing as well, just like her previous ones, and she had been doing consistently well throughout the challenges in the competition. She was surely "a rising star in the making". Rose-Marie Swift wanted her to be her muse.
Lorelei> Takuya dislikes her pained facial expression in the photograph. Annete, George, and Eva all love her photo and believe it brings a different light to Lorelei they haven't seen before. She then pissed the judges off by pretending Li was the bad one.
Eris> Eva loves her bone structure and her jaw but feels as though she is relying on her beauty too much. George feels like the photo is a tad lacklustre. Annete would never run a photo like that for her magazine. Takuya loves her hair.
Stephane> The judges all agreed that this was her best shot to date yet. George would've loved to see a little bit more tension with the eyes. Paul and Rose-Marie believed she would be the perfect "palette".
Rojm> Eva and Annete loved her bone structure. The judges all agreed that she looked "barely unrecognizable" in the beauty shot, but perceived it as a good thing. Annete was unsure as to how much of a chameleon Rojm could've been.
Evgenia> Evgenia had an amazing photograph once again. Takuya believes that she will be the winner if she keeps this up for the next couple of weeks. Annete loved her versatility. Paul Venoit saw a star when he saw Evgenia.
Mihalek> Eva noticed that she was beginning to slip week to week now. Her versatility was not evident and it seemed as if she was "just a pretty girl".
Roscja> Takuya liked Roscja's photo more than Mihalek's but liked Mihalek's body better than Roscja's. George agreed. Annete and Eva wanted to see what else Roscja could do.
Deidra> Once again, her photo seemed a tad flat. She was definitely improving in her body movements at the photo shoots and challenges, but this week, it was about the face. She had a stunning face but she didn't know how to use it. George did not like her work ethic.
Ann> She had a lovely smile on her face which was strange to see from her. The judges said that there was so much variety to choose from. Eva believed that she needed this photo in her portfolio to show a lighter, versatile side to her. Rose-Marie loved Ann. They found out they were somehow related.
Li> shone through this week with an amazing photograph as well. The judges then took note of her attitude at the Ken Paves salon this week and pummelled her for it. Lorelei ratted out Li's bitchiness and pretended to be the innocent one and the judges were infuriated even more.
TAKUYA: "Will Deidra and Jainen step forward please? Deidra. We've seen you here before. We need you to step it up. Jainen. If you don't have the confidence in yourself, neither would we. So who stays? ...Jainen. We're giving you a chance to prove to us that you really want this, because we know you can really do this - and you wouldn't have tried out in the first place if you didn't want it, right? Think about the reasons why you were so happy when you were picked. *Jainen interrupts* JAINEN: Actually, I was only happy for about a minute when I was picked. I'm terribly sorry that I had to drag my sorry ass down here and waste all of your time...Hahaha...I enjoyed a lot of this competition but I'm afraid this is not what I want to do in life. I need to focus on my studies and this was definitely an experience I'll never forget. I'd like to leave the competition now. TAKUYA: Okay then. Thanks. You may go. And Deidra, you've been given another chance to continue on in the competition - so HARNESS IT WELL!"
ELIMINEE: Jainen: "I mean I never really knew what I wanted to do in life. I still don't. I'm 16. I enjoy modeling. I thought it was going to be one thing though - and it definitely turned out to be more stress than I could ever imagine. It was plain strenuous - more than calculus exams, honestly. However, you may one day pick up a glossy new V Magazine one day, and my scary face may come emitting off the cover of it - and you WILL like it. I ensure you. Am I sad right now? Yeah. It's bittersweet of course. Some of these girls I'm going to miss a lot so we'll definitely be in touch."

WEEK 4,

  • After a shocking elimination, drama becomes sabotage. The girls are super ecstatic to learn of a very special potential challenge win that could change their careers forever.

Lorelei tells Li that she is a total bitch while in the taxi going home. Li tells her that she does not need her approval for anything and if she's going to be mad for the whole bed situation, then she now knows what kind of person Lorelei really is. When the girls get home, they are told they need to brush up on their fashion knowledge and runway walks as tomorrow may mark a significant change in their lives. The girls meet Dwight Agnor at the airport. They are very excited to learn that they will be flying to Paris, France for Paris Fashion Week for a challenge and return home very quickly. The 11 are ecstatic, most of them never having left Atlanta before. Dwight "candidly" asks some of the girls some general fashion knowledge questions on the plane, while he was actually evaluating their knowledge and passion for fashion. After an hour, Dwight announces that the plane really wasn't flying anywhere - yet. The 7 girls who impressed him the least would be left back in Atlanta. The other 4 would accompany him to Paris Fashion Week. The 4 were: Stebane, Mihalek, Ann, and Evgenia. Once in Paris, Dwight split them up into two groups. They did a trivia question segment as they went through each tent at fashion week. Ann & Stebane had won the challenge. Now, they met with casting agents for Céline. They got to see behind-the-scenes at their fashion show and they received seats to watch the show as well. Dwight told them to show the agents their walks. The agents were impressed with Stebane's walk but not so much Ann's. Stebane was offered a chance to walk in a future fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. Dwight told the duo that originally, one of them would've won the chance to walk in a future Celine fashion show, but Ann's walk was not too polished, and Stebane's height was going to be an issue. The girls still watched the fashion show, bittersweetly. The girls at home were arguing and cited racism. The next day, the 4 returned home and got to the photo shoot place right away. They saw all the girls naked and rolling around in paint. They were doing an ad try for David Yurman's new jewelry collection. Immediately following the photo shoot, the girls were brought home where they were all told to take a shower. Immediately after they were finished, they were told to get into a limousine where they were taken to another photo studio. This time, they met Rad Hourani, new upcoming Canadian designer superstar. He really wanted to create an androgynous theme to his collection and believed he wanted a lesbian-themed photo shoot where the girls were all styled the same, in the same frame, all black and gold. The girls were drenched in gold paint and glitter and black & white clothing. They all had to take photos where they were placed into groups of 4 and 3 (Eris, Ann, Rojm, and Deidra; Li, Lorelei, Mihalek, and Roscja; Stebane, Evgenia, and Tahlie). The girls had to show off the connection with each other and out from each other. Li and Lorelei were extremely comfortable working with each other. Mihalek and Roscja were uncomfortable being almost lesbians when they were pretty much family.
Rojm> Takuya failed to see any connection with her eyes. Eva said she fell a little bit this week but believed she had enough potential to come back up. Rad said he liked Rojm's effort but wouldn't book her again.
Li> Annete did not like her attitude last week nor this week. She really wanted her to let go of all the negativity and just shine in her photos. This week was a letdown.
Deidra> Eva believed she did alright this week. She was not good but not bad either - thus she was improving - but was she improving enough? Rad loved her bone structure and her androgyny.
Eris> George did not like her photo again this week. The judges all realized that she hadn't a single amazing photo this entire competition and it seemed as though she was relying on her beauty all this time.
Ann> She was extremely awkward on set and did not convey enough diversity in the range of her emotions on set. However, Rad loved her look and said he would book her.
Stebane> Takuya and Eva loved her photograph. Annete and George believe it was extremely hard to see who did the best in their trio.
Tahlie>She was bringing a lot of energy onto set and definitely had an amazing photo this week.
Lorelei> Takuya and George felt like she was starting to step it up in the photos. She was neck-to-neck with Roscja in this one.
Evgenia> Eva loved this photo but not as much as Stephane's. Takuya loved this photo more than Stephane's. Annete loved Tahlie's photo most. George loves Roscja's the most.
Roscja> The judges all see her improvement. She is stunning and stands out in her group's shot.
Mihalek> The judges loved her effort in the photo, but felt as if she is slowly dwindling away.
TAKUYA: "Ann and Eris, please step forward. I wouldn't have imagined you two in the bottom 2. We fought a lot this week about who should earn top photo and who should stay. But nonetheless, it is without doubt that we have made our final decision. Ann - your potential is undeniable. We've seen your modeling capabilities more than we've ever imagined - but we've also seen your lows, lower than we could ever imagine. To us, you're inconsistent, and that's a major problem on a model's behalf. Eris - we love your beauty, and we know you know you're beautiful too. But beauty also comes from within - the inside. We want to see that life come out, and through your eyes, in your film. We haven't seen that yet from you. So who's the weakest link? The girl who's staying for another grueling week, I assure you...is...Ann. Congratulations Ann, work it HARD!"
ELIMINEE: Eris: "Alright. So my time is up. Whatever. I'm gonna keep working hard. I didn't let them dye my hair red and give me ugly bangs for nothing."

WEEK 5,

  • The judges meet with top media gurus who evaluate their correspondant skills. Later, one model reaches her breaking point and demonstrates a total meltdown during the judging panel.

The girls realize that after next week's elimination, half of the girls will have been eliminated. There are very little girls left remaining in the house. The top 10 celebrate with some champagne. Stephane realizes that a lot of the girls have a lot of potential so it will only be harder from now on, and she'll have to work even harder. There is less riot in the house now. Lorelei and Li have completely ignored each other. Rojm calls home to talk to her mother. She doesn't know her place in the competition and the judges have told her that she is forgettable. The next day, the girls are brought to celestialDaily!, the top gossip and entertainment channel in Atlanta. They meet hosts Raina Karin and Kaylin. They introduce them to the correspondent challenge, where they must style themselves and speak in front of a teleprompter - in front of a live TV audience. The girls try this out one by one, and in the middle of the teach, the teleprompter shuts off and they are to improv. Most of the girls are unable to recover from the "technical difficulty". Raina and Kaylin tell them that it is simply a teach - not a challenge. They were supposed to learn to go with the flow, bring out your own personality and STAND OUT, and be relatable. There was also no real live TV audience as well. Tahlie hated this because she thought she could've done so much better if there wasn't that added pressure from the segment being "live". The girls then reach Virgin Mobile, where they see a bunch of other models in line. It is a real-life casting. They meet Eva Kourkova there, who tells them that they will need to bring their best foot forward - because this is really serious business. All of the girls made it through the preliminary round. The girls had no idea what to expect from the casting - or what the directors were really looking for. The second round, the 100 girls selected had to deliver a few lines in front of a teleprompter in groups of 5. They all had 15 minutes to get to know each other and learn some lines before delivering them - however, none of them knew which line was their's so they had to figure out who should say what. However, when the teleprompter came up, the lines were switched, and the girls had to remember which lines were their's to say and say it with personality and fluidity. Many of the girls failed at this portion. Lorelei, Rojm, Roscja, and Ann were all eliminated in the second round. Ann was lacklustre in the challenge teach and the challenge this week. The 36 girls that remained were interviewed in front of the casting directors personally. Only 12 girls remained at the end of the day, with only 2 being our own Top Model girls: Mihalek and Li. Mihalek and Li filmed a commercial with 10 other models the following day. The next day, the girls were all whisked out of bed early and flown to rural New Canada, where they were to shoot photos for a potential new Banana Republic ad campaign (for Gap Inc.). The girls were extremely excited, notably Rojm because she had been a BR employee not too long ago. The girls were dressed in BR clothes and were told to look editorial but friendly and approachable. Denzl told them that it would probably be the most commercial this cycle would go (other than the Virgin Mobile commercial 2 girls got to do earlier) because this week, it was all about the media, marketing and commercial ability. All the girls shot in groups of 2s and 3s:

Group
Roscja & Mihalek & Stephane
Tahlie & Evgenia & Deidra
Li & Lorelei
Rojm & Ann

Stephane felt a bit out of place because the sisters already had great chemistry and she was this redhead-brunette who was significantly shorter and looked out of place. Rojm and Ann looked like giants. Li had hoped that she wouldn't have been placed with Lorelei, but of course she would've been. She had been placed with her last week as well and it did not turn out pretty. Lauren Cochrane guest judges. Li tries to explain herself and how she just didn't feel right this week when she had to work with somebody who was "absolutely horrible to be with". At first, she did not want to bring it up but she just had a major breakdown and felt the need to justify herself. It was a bit confusing at first, but she noted that she was a victim of bullying and sexual harassment when she was younger. She then hyperventilates, faints, and is hospitalized.
Deidra> Lauren loved her eyes as they were perfect for make up and she had just so much edge and spunk. However, all the judges realized that she was very lacklustre in the photos.
Lorelei> Eva and George loved the fact that she had the ability to look very commercial and relatable in the photograph. They wanted to see more chemistry between her and Li though. Takuya loved her photo and thought the connection worked perfectly well. Annete and Lorelei thought she was very versatile.
Evgenia> Takuya loved her photo but her posing could've been a little bit more elaborate. She had such a beautiful face, but she did not stand out the most in the photo - it was Tahlie, instead.
Tahlie> All the judges loved her in this photo and believed she was very versatile.
Roscja> Eva and Lauren noticed a lazy eye in the photo. But other than that, she was very striking and stood out the most among her 3.
Li> Takuya and Eva loved her energy at the challenge, but failed to see that at the photo shoot, which translated in the photo as well, unfortunately. After her breakdown and her fainting, the judges send her to the hospital.
Ann> She had a striking photo but she needed to relax her mouth a bit. Her performance and attitude at the challenges this week though, were horrendous.
Stephane> Takuya loved her other look shown this week. It was a bit more playful but ALL the judges noticed that she was very short in the photo. Her height issue was finally brought up. She needs to photograph longer and taller.
Mihalek> George & Annete felt as though she was ready to give up in the competition. She seemed less and less invested in the photo shoot every week, but her performance at the challenges were amazing. Takuya believed that she was only in it for the challenge wins because she was materialistic and would need all the material she could get by exploiting this opportunity. Lauren opposed this because usually materialistic people came from well-off families and if this was true, Roscja would've been the one in Mihalek's place. Lauren also noted that perhaps there was something else bothering Mihalek.
Rojm> had a decent shot this week. All the judges thought that she was just sliding through though, just coasting in the middle.
TAKUYA: "Will Deidra & Ann please step forward? Deidra, this is not the first time we've seen you as one of the last few standing before me. You've shown us some improvement, but we're feeling as though you're not improving enough. It's going to be the top 9, you've been struggling since Week 1, and time is simply running out. Ann, we've seen you here before, as well! It's not the first time and not the second either. This time - it's not about your photos, or your consistency. It's about your attitude and lack of energy in the challenge this week. We question your motives in the competition, but we know that there's something there, which all the judges believe in. Which is why, Ann, you're still in the running towards becoming Atlanta's Next Top Model. Show us that we're right, okay, Ann? Get first photo next week! You can do it, Ann!!!"
ELIMINEE: Deidra: "Oh what the hell! I was totally expecting to go home tonight. The other girls never really saw me as competition. I mean I definitely tried, and I thought my looks would carry me far enough, well, farther anyway, in the competition, but all these other girls remaining have AMAZING assets. AMAZING. There are definitely a lot of beautiful women out there all vying for the same thing, so it's going to be a tough industry, in my honest opinion. I'm not sure if I will continue modeling. I'm a fashion student so I might go into another stream but still fashion-related. I'd like to see Stebane win. She's got the most amazing palette that all the designers would love right now, and she's only 16. She's got such a huge career ahead of her. Oh, and that height thing. I'd book her! Hahaha."

WEEK 6,

  • The girls must learn the tricks of the trade...performing on a trapeze. A little sibling rivalry ensues, doning yet another explosive scene at the model house. The elimination shocks all of the girls.

The remaining half of the competition are driven to a circus. They meet "Ringmaster Steve" who teaches them all about the art of trapezing. He hints that it will be very important that they learn the fundamental techniques. Li returns from the hospital but is still feeling very sick. She does the trapeze exercises anyway, and shows the Ringmaster that she has a lot of determination. Lorelei struggles with the technique and blames the ropes. Most of the girls struggle but Stebane has enough athleticism and strength in her, as she is a professional Docker. The girls are finished their exercise runs and get to spend the rest of the night watching the circus perform. At home, Mihalek expresses concerns to her step-sister Roscja that she feels as though she's slipping and isn't sure she wants to be in this anymore. Roscja tells Mihalek that she will get her chance to shine. Mihalek complains that Roscja always gets what she wants (e.g. in this case, being good at modeling when it was actually Mihalek who urged Roscja to try out). Even when Mihalek was initiated into the family, she was treated like a slave by certain family members and she could feel the envy coming from Roscja because the family had given more attention to Mihalek rather than what Roscja was accustomed to. Roscja then lashes back and says that she is still doing better than her in the competition, and that Mihalek needs to toughen up and grow up. Mihalek then becomes infuriated and says that she has toughened up a lot and has been through more than Roscja ever will and then reminded Roscja that she had won the challenge the week before. The two are infuriated at each other and sibling rivalry pursuits. Girls ask Mihalek and Roscja what is wrong separately and Roscja explains the story. She was only trying to help her sister, but understands Mihalek will cool down soon enough and that she will grow up - after all, Mihalek is still only 17. The next day, the girls are taken to the gym where they meet celebrity fitness trainer Joe DiAngelo. He explains to them that he will check on their fitness every 2 weeks until the end of the competition. He expects results, and if they are not shown, this will be brought to the judges' attention. All the girls work up a storm. They are then led to a dance studio, where they are supposed to learn a dance routine demonstrating grace and poise. Most of the girls struggle, especially Ann and Rojm, who feel especially awkward in her tall frame. Li has had ballerina training before, and so has Evgenia. Alas, it is time to perform in front of Joe, Eva, Takuya, and some gym members. The girls are extremely nervous and do a contemporary dance routine to Miranda Lee Richards' "Life Boat" song. The winner of the challenge must show exceptional poise, grace, ability and willingness to learn, and natural modeling ability and personality while dancing. The winner of the challenge is...ROSCJA! She wins an all-inclusive paid trip for 2 to The Bahamas for 5-days! She will need to pick a friend here. Roscja, without hesitation, picks Mihalek. The girls are happy for them and applaud. When they get home, they realize that one of their rooms has been sealed off, and 2 of the girls (Ann & Rojm) must sleep in the same room as everybody else, leading to much discontent. That night, the girls are taken to an exclusive party where they are fit into haute couture Valentino gowns which are part of his never-before-seen Haute Couture S/S2012 collection. The girls are ecstatic. They believe they are all fun and games, going out to drink that night, in lovely gowns, but instead they are taken to an isolated pond near the mansion, where lights, cameras, and crew are set up - for a photo shoot - their photo shoot. The girls are happy to be wearing such gowns, but believe water will always be difficult to work with. Denzl, who also wears Valentino, greets them, and introduces them to their photographer, Mike Rosenthal. The theme for the shoot is to swing on the trapeze that runs above the water while striking beautiful poses and showing off the gorgeous Valentino dress, at night. It is very similar to: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yC9nEZMMvqc/TUhNI95fhTI/AAAAAAAAB3E/f-uFSuLi1YA/s1600/the%2Btrapeze%2Btemptress.png . Most of the girls struggle with the athleticism of the shoot. Evgenia almost falls in the water but is taking many risks and manages to wow the photographer and Denzl. Denzl says that "she is made for Valentino". Mihalek and Roscja talk backstage and Mihalek apologizes for what has happened earlier. Li, who took note from the teach earlier, shone in her photo shoot. Rojm is up next and performs well. Stebane used her athletic skills to her advantage and tried to look taller. Lorelei struggled a lot, trying to get a hold of herself on the trapeze. Ann looked impressive on the trapeze and her shoot seemed effortless. At judging, the girls each had to perform a 30 second dance in front of the judges, given 1 word of inspiration each. Rihanna guest judges, and her promotional trapeze photo shoot is also introduced to the girls. The eliminated girl is a surprise to all the girls, who are in utter shock and disbelief.
Tahlie> Takuya enjoys her face in every photo but her posing could be a little stronger. She's got a lot of great spunk and energy but she must pick that energy up again.
Lorelei> Eva and Annete believe that she is falling. Her posing is a bit contrived and she is hardly inspiring anymore. George and Takuya comment on her weight gain since the beginning of the competition.
Rojm> Eva and Rihanna really like her look but believe that she is not very inspiring in her photos. Takuya believes that she is just coasting.
Li> Takuya sees great improvement in her photographs. Eva likes her comeback after 2 very bad weeks for her.
Roscja> George believes her photo is gorgeous but questions her commitment in her dance performance and in the competition as well.
Mihalek> Rihanna sees a very striking girl in person but in the photo she is very bland, almost boring, and says "You do not want to be boring. Trust me."
Ann> Her photo is definitely a step up from the past few weeks. She also showed some of her comical side during the dance challenge. Her look is very charismatic. Annete, Eva, and Rihanna love it.
Stebhane> She has a great look, says Eva, but her photos do make her look kind of short. She must work even harder "to combat this unfortunate hereditary event".
Evgenia> Her effervescent, effortless photograph captures the moment very well. She is also gorgeous while she is dancing. Her only critique is her personality, which needs to come out just a little bit more.
TAKUYA: "Will Rojm and Lorelei please step forward? Rojm, first time in the bottom 2. You've shown us your potential, and you've shown us that you can be a great model. But, we've seen it. We've seen your beauty. We want you to reach the next step. Is that all you can show us? We need to be inspired. Lorelei, you as well, never been in the bottom 2 before. But, this week comes, iffy photo. Your lack of creativity and struggling in the posing shows. You need to take care of your own weight as well. So who stays? Whose beauty, do we believe in, has a chance to show us what we're trying to get out of them but we have yet to see...? We believe, Lorelei, you should stay."
ELIMINEE: ROJM: "Wow. I am just in utter disbelief, and gruesome, gruesome, HORRIBLE shock. I never thought I'd be eliminated so soon. I honestly believed I was going to make it...to the Top 3. At least. I didn't deserve to go home. The girls can all see that. Lorelei's critique was worse than mine."

WEEK 7,

  • With only half of the competition remaining, the girls do go-sees in downtown Rein for some of the most high fashion labels in the entire world. Things get a little bit bloody as the girls question whether or not they would kill for fashion.

Spoilers/Rumours

-Lorelei is eliminated because her skin has reached an all-time low due to the stress of the competition. She has also been packing on the pounds. Li is in the bottom 2 due to her shy and weak runway performances (similar to Jordan Loukas) and she is awkward in social situations. She does improve though, and becomes more in touch with her sexy side, boosting her all the way to the Top 5, where she is finally eliminated because of ?

-Mihalek eliminated because her lack of investment in the competition has become apparent.
