Ashley Livingston, better known as AzMarie Livingston, is an American fashion model best known for her appearance on cycle 18 of ANTM in 2012, where she was the sixth girl eliminated and placed ninth.

Early Life

AzMarie was born in California's San Fernando Valley and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. According to her, the name "AzMarie" is an amalgam of her first and middle names, and she took the "Az". She was raised primarily by her single mother. Her father was a very proud, extremely flamboyant homosexual and Livingston describes the relationship between her parents as them being best friends.

As a young child, she moved to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, where she later attended Nicolet High School. At age nine, she began an interest in modeling after traveling with her father on vacation to Los Angeles, but according to her, "I took a break when I was younger because it didn't pick up as much. I wanted to have a childhood." After graduating high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater before dropping out after three semesters and moving to Los Angeles to further her career.

From 2009 to 2011, she appeared in many different magazines and participated in several fashion shows, including London Fashion Week and BET's Rip the Runway. In 2009, she appeared in the award-winning film "Precious". In 2010, she appeared on "The Real Housewives of New York City" and "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty". She was an extra in several music videos, including Kelly Rowland's "Motivation" and Nicki Minaj's "Moment 4 Life".

ANTM

AzMarie is best known for her androgynous appearance, and being very flirtatious with the other girls. Laura was shown to have sexual feelings for her, and Mariah had a crush when she washed her hair at makeovers.

Although her look was praised by the judges, her first photo did not impress, earning her ninth call-out. She came across the same problem the next episode, with one judge saying her tattoos were distracting. She placed in the bottom three.

AzMarie soon stepped up her game, earning the next two first call-outs in a row, for the Very.com and car photoshoots, and second call-out for the maple syrup photoshoot.

In episode six, AzMarie refused to participate in Tyra's Tooching exercise, because she did not want to wear the butt pads. This led to the judges believing that she had a bad attitude, and being sent home over Kyle.

Post-Show

AzMarie was rumored to be living in New York with her girlfriend, Raven Symone. The couple has split up since 2015.

Acting

Shortly after the cycle, AzMarie had a role on the gay television series, DTLA, which aired on OUTtv and Logo. Working alongside Melanie Griffith and Sandra Bernhard, AzMarie plays the role of Ricki, Griffith's girlfriend.

AzMarie was an intern in an episode of "Grey's Anatomy" in 2015. She was the recurring character, Chicken, on Fox's hit show "Empire", Hakeem's best friend and DJ. She was the character Bracka on "The Purge" TV series in 2018.

Music

AzMarie's debut single "Morning Guarantee" was released in December 2012. On August 31, 2014, she released her debut EP on SoundCloud titled HipPopMelodicPoetry. Her single "We Hot" was released in 2015.

Legacy

AzMarie was ranked number nine on MsMojo's YouTube video "Top 10 Shocking Eliminations on America's Next Top Model".
